The Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro, is one of the four federally funded public universities in the State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It has several campuses in the city of Rio de Janeiro, including two in Urca neighborhood.

It was established on June 5, 1979. The university was ranked in twenty-third place in the Government’s ENADE classification, in 2006. In 2010, it was given a score of four out of five in ENADE’s system of evaluation.

Power and environmental management. Roberto’s early research dealt with the local governance dynamics of water resource in a developing country context. During his PhD, Roberto explored the governance challenges of environmental upgrading of global value chains, from the perspective of maritime service suppliers in Denmark. In his postdoc, Roberto explores the contingencies of “circular economy” as a discursive construction in the context of Norwegian new product development projects.

Former student at the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Saint-Cloud), National Doctorate (Doctorat d’Etat) from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Alain-Marc Rieu is Professor Emeritus, University of Lyon (France) and Visiting Professor, Osaka University, member of the Center for Collaborative Design. Specialized in contemporary philosophy and institutional epistemology (Science and technology studies), he is senior research fellow at the IETT, University Lyon-Jean Moulin, in charge of the Trans-science project. Based on social systems theory, he studies the mutation since the 1970s of the role, conception and organization of knowledge activities in advanced industrial societies, the design and implementation since the 1990s of large-scale and all-inclusive research and innovation policies. He is a specialist of European Studies. His fields of reference are Japan, the United States and Western Europe within the EU. He presently develops a geopolitics of research and innovation based on case studies, with a focus on the models structuring the design and implementation of research policies. These models include biophysical constraints and the ecology of social-economic systems. Liu ShengLiu is a senior lecturer, adjunct professor, and the vice director at Higher Education and Regional Development Research Institute, Yunnan Normal University, China. He has been dedicated in the academic research and teaching for sixteen years. His main research areas are the interactive relation between higher education and regional development, the assessment and optimization of higher education structure, etc, with about thirty journal articles in these fields, such as science of education, Journal of Higher Education, Modern Education Management, and Chinese higher education. He worked as coordinator of 1 general project of Chinese National Social Science Fund and three regional-level projects, and as core member of three projects of Chinese National Social Science Fund. He has won four Provincial Outstanding Social Achievement Awards and was the recipient of a provincial talent award. He holds a PhD degree in Education Science and a Master degree in Educational Principle. Education and degrees awarded 2007-2011: PhD Education Science, Liaoning Normal University, China; 2002-2005: MEd Educational Principle, Yunnan Normal University, China; 1995-1999: Associate Degree in Mathematics Education, GanNan Normal University, China.

As existing studies on Triple Helix model of China are mainly concentrated on developed regions, it should be noted that a lack of in-depth studies on regional usage of Triple Helix model in these undeveloped areas of unique geographical advantages and social environment. Head of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Master in Human Resources and Organization. He teaches Business Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano and Organization and Strategy at Fondazione Istud, Baveno, Italy. Carries out research and consulting on entrepreneurship, development strategies for small companies and the relationship between small and large organizations. Is the author of numerous academic and professional publications in the strategy and organization fields. He has strong experiences in designing and promoting “hub” of sales and technology in India and USA for supporting and accelerating the presence of Italian small company in the field of “Made in Italy” in those market. Recently, he started to design and plan a Italian vocational school on mechanics in USA, promoted by the Italian Government, under the Triple Helix perspectives.
