Biography
I am a Senior Lecturer and Adjunct Professor at the Higher Education Group (HEG), Faculty of Management and Business, Tampere University, Finland. I have been with the HEG for 17 years and was the Acting Professor of the unit from August 2013 to July 2014. I am serving as guest professor at both Beijing Normal University Zhejiang University in China. I worked as Finnish team leader of nine EU funded projects and coordinator of four Nordic or Finnish projects. My main teaching and research areas are higher education policy and management and innovation studies, with over 80 peer reviewed publications in these fields. I have had work experience in all the sectors of university, business and government.
I have been active in various networks and events of innovation studies. For instance, during 14-15 May 2019, as a Finnish advisor I was in the 8-person Finnish delegation participating in the UNSCO STI Forum for the Sustainable Development Gaols and gave a talk. On 16 Oct 2019, I attended the 1st World Science and Technology Development Forum in Beijing as a panellist.
I have been an active member of the Triple Helix Association (THA) since 2013. I am currently a board member of THA, serving as the Co-Convener of Entrepreneurial University SIG and Co-Chair of Organizational Research and Meeting Scientific Committee, THA. I am also the Associate Editor of Triple Helix Journal and the Chair of the 18th Triple Helix Conference in Tampere in June 2020 (https://events.tuni.fi/thc2020/).
