During the latest THA webinar “Managing Regional Innovation Ecosystems” delivered on 12th December 2017, by Alasdair Reid, Senior Policy advisor the European Commission, the OECD, the World Bank, the Nordic Council of Ministers and Christian Saublens Former Executive Manager of EURADA, the European Association of Development Agencies, we have discussed new emerging methods for the mapping of regional innovation ecosystems (including the context of the smart specialisation process) as well as outlining new policy approaches that can help strengthen regional innovation systems. We also discussed how to handle the mismatch between the offer of public support and the entrepreneurs’ expectations, in oder to set-up a more conducive policy innovation environment for Companies, including a more effective interaction between Universities and SMEs.
