Our latest webinar “Building resilience in German cities: improving governance, mitigating risk”, was delivered on 18th May 2020 in the framwork of the COVID-19 Special Webinar series.
Our speakers, Natalie Pfau-Weller & Rebecca Nell, Researchers at Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO and the University of Stuttgard (Germany), chaired by Christiane Gebhardt, BLUE CITY Business Development Manager at Dress&Sommer (Switzerland AG) and THA Executive Committee member, showcased the SMARTilience project offering an integrated prospective for climate protection and adaptation in German cities through smart technological and social solutions.
The presenters framed the SMARTilience case in the light of the current COVID pandemic, inviting participants and more in general policy decision makers and stakeholders to reconsider in an holistic way elements of sustanability, climate adaption, resiliance and digitalization in order to cope more effectivly and in timely fashion with current and future crisis.
