DISC 2015, The 3rd Daegu Gyeongbuk International Social Network Conference, held in DaeguGyeongbuk (South Korea), has successfully ended on Saturday 31st October.
WATEF (World Association for Triple Helix & Future Strategy Studies), formerly known as Asia Triple Helix Society, organized the first and the largest international academic conference in Korea dedicated to network science. The major social network organizations including International Network for Social Network Analysis and Social Media Research Foundation have also endorsed the DISC.
The conference theme was on big data and network-based future strategies. During the event two special sessions focused on Triple Helix, such as round table “Triple Helix talk series” and a panel discussion on Triple Helix Approaches, took place on the first and second day. Also DISC 2015 made a strategic step forward, by reaching out the Chinese scientific community and holding the 2nd Korea-China Symposium on Big Data at the same time.
DISC has rapidly become the Asian Hub conference on big-data and socio-innovation network area. Insightful key-note speeches and presentations given by international scholars and practitioners from USA, UK, Netherlands, South Korea, Slovenia, Japan, China, Australia have been followed by panel discussion sessions
