The Bright SCIdea Challenge provides support for students at university (UK and International) to develop an innovative science-based idea into a business plan and to compete for a £5,000 prize.
The Bright SCIdea Challenge is promoted by SCI (Society of Chemical Industry), a global network of innovators, formed in 1881 by prominent scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs, who went on to form the products, processes and companies that propelled society forward. SCI works at the interface between science and industry, conducting a range of activities that focus on supporting innovation and the commercialisation of science.
SCI supports entrants in the competition by delivering free, exclusive training. Teams with the strongest business plan are invited to deliver their pitch to an expert panel of experienced, successful senior business people and innovators.
Deadline for initial applications of interest: 1 November 2021 midday.
